GTC, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for an Electrical Project Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

 

As the Electrical Project Manager your key responsibilities are

 

  • Project management of the deployment (point of connection, upgrade, reinforcement & diversion) phase of the existing Electricity Business network in line with CDM (Construction, Design and Management) regulations.
  • Providing customers with a single point of contact, agree timescales, additional works (variations) and energisation dates to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Assisting all BUUK Departmental Managers in development of greater efficiency within the Company to promote continuous improvement to GTC Electrical procedures.
  • Working with other Network Operators (DNOs / IDNOs) where appropriate.
  • On-site supervision of internal & 3rd party engineers and providing training where necessary.

 

About you

 

  • Educated to a minimum of City & Guilds, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current IOSH managing safely certificate or working towards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Experience in electricity distribution systems up to and including 11kV.
  • Ability to project manage a large portfolio of work & able to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of managing subcontractors, team leaders & engineers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must have a Full UK driving licence.
